The client had 2 existing FG Wilson diesel generators 1500KVA, which we adapted to suit their requirements. After every power cut event, the MP1 DC had taken approximately 7 hours to reset the warehouse automation systems, which resulted in a loss of sales on the internet - as MP1 is the flagship site for John Lewis and Partners. Regency was appointed as the principal contractor on site and designed and developed a new generator set control system (COMAP). Regency also replaced the original Woodward Proact engine control system with the Heinzmann Pandaros engine control system. We designed the new mains/ generator G99 Synchronising panel (COMAP) onto 2 separate LV switch panels complete with new dual hot/standby Siemens PLC load controls. This has lead to a complete removal of the second outage and allowed the business to continue unhindered, saving 7 hours of valuable trading time.
Regency will go on to provide service support and maintain this site and others for this customer.
